Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts to Oikonomia Review: Journal of Economics, Business, and Management Studies. Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by other journals, conferences, or publishers. By submitting to Oikonomia Review, authors confirm that the manuscript is their own work and that all sources are properly acknowledged.

Types of Manuscripts Accepted

Oikonomia Review accepts the following manuscript categories:

  • Original Research Articles (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods)

  • Empirical and Applied Studies (survey, secondary data, econometric/SEM-based research)

  • Case Studies (firm, industry, policy, or institutional cases with analytical depth)

  • Conceptual or Theoretical Papers (framework development with clear scholarly contribution)

  • Systematic Literature Reviews / Bibliometric Reviews

  • Policy Analyses and Governance Studies

  • Research Notes / Short Communications (methodological notes or preliminary findings).

Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare their manuscript according to the official journal template. A complete manuscript should include:

  • Title

  • Author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s) (including corresponding author email)

  • Abstract (150–250 words)

  • Keywords (5–8 keywords)

  • Introduction

  • Literature Review and Hypotheses Development (or Conceptual Framework)

  • Methodology

  • Results

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion

For quantitative manuscripts, hypotheses and conceptual model descriptions should be stated clearly. For qualitative manuscripts, research questions, analytic approach, and credibility strategies should be described explicitly.

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English. Authors may submit manuscripts in Bahasa Indonesia only if permitted by the journal policy; in such cases, the title and abstract must be provided in English and the manuscript should still follow the journal’s structure and reference style.

Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must follow the official template and basic format rules:

  • Use A4 paper size with standard margins as specified in the template

  • Use clear section headings and consistent formatting

  • Tables and figures must be numbered and titled (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1)

  • All tables/figures must be cited in the text and placed near their first mention

  • All references listed must be cited in the text (and vice versa)

  • Avoid excessive formatting; keep layout clean and publication-ready.

References Style

Oikonomia Review uses APA Style (7th Edition) for in-text citations and references. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s OJS online submission system. Authors must complete all required metadata fields, including:

  • title

  • abstract

  • keywords

  • author information and affiliations

  • references

Incomplete metadata may delay editorial processing.

Revision and Proofreading

Authors are required to revise manuscripts according to reviewer and editor comments within the timeline provided. The editorial office reserves the right to request additional revisions and language proofreading to maintain publication quality.

Ethical Considerations

Authors must comply with publication ethics, including:

  • originality and avoidance of plagiarism

  • accurate reporting of data and results

  • proper acknowledgment of sources

  • disclosure of conflicts of interest (if applicable)

Manuscripts involving unethical practices (e.g., plagiarism, fabricated data, duplicate submission) will be rejected.
